The actuator shifts the transmission between wash and spin modes and includes the tachometer sensor that reports basket speed to the control board. A failed actuator is a very common cause of no spin, no agitate, or F7E1 / F7E3 / F7E4 error codes. Direct replacement for many Whirlpool, Maytag, Amana, Kenmore and related top-load washers. Installation Instructions

1. Unplug the washer and turn off the water supply.
2. Tip the washer back carefully or remove the front lower access panel (model dependent).
3. Locate the shift actuator on the side of the transmission / gearcase near the drive pulley.
4. Disconnect the wiring connector and remove the mounting screws.
5. Disengage the actuator arm from the shift cam.
6. Install the new W10815027 / W11511138 actuator, reconnect the wiring, and reassemble.
7. Run a test cycle to confirm proper agitation and spin.

Tip: Take a photo of the wiring and arm position before removal. Some models require a 5/16" nut driver and Phillips screwdriver.
